Michigan Diner Expanding, Opening New Location
A local Michigan diner is expanding across the state. It’s always good news to see a beloved local establishment grow, right?
Right now, the diner is opening a second location, but who knows, maybe in the future they’ll be able to open more.
Lansing’s Good Truckin’ Diner is opening a new location in the former Jonny B’z and Royals location in Grand Rapids. The restaurant will open at 701 Wealthy St. SE near Eastern Avenue. In a new interview with Woodtv.com, owner Nicholas Sinicropi said the diner was an “eclectic-style diner.”
“We got some pretty quirky food,” he said. “(You) can’t really put us in a box. … We try to think outside of the box.”
This is a great spot if you have a gluten allergy or are vegan, as Good Truckin’ has plenty of vegan and gluten-free food options. Their waffles are gluten-free, and their pancakes are vegan.
So far, no word on a specific open date yet, but Sinicropi says he’s shooting for June. He also says the Grand Rapids location should have longer hours than its Lansing counterpart. For more information, go here.
