Azealia Banks Underfire For Implying Jacky Oh’s Death Was Karma For DC Young Fly
Azealia Banks has been attacked online for comments following the death of Jacky Oh who was DC Young Fly’s partner. Banks wrote her controversial remarks on her Instagram story about the Wild ‘N Out star’s partner, who was the mother to his three children.
“DC Young Fly spent years disguising his own deeply rooted hatred of self as jokes pointed at women’s beauty,” she wrote. “Projecting his own feelings about his own ugliness unto women perfectly secure in their own skin. Say what you want about my tears. They were pure tears of rage. And not at all a sign of weakness. Because in the end. I won. I’m happy I cried and moved on. That Jackie o girl must have been as deeply insecure about herself.”
“Dead at 32 exactly on my 32nd birthday, May 31st, 2023 in Miami, FL,” she wrote. “You n—– are going to learn to stop f—— with me.”
Prior to Jacky Oh’s death, she posted a since-deleted photo of her going in for cosmetic surgery for a “mommy makeover.” It has been speculated that she died due to complications from the surgery. This has not been confirmed by Jacky Oh’s family or DC Young Fly. Banks’ reasoning behind her comments is that DC’s comments about women’s looks made Jacky insecure. That resulted, according to Banks, in her decision to go for cosmetic surgery.
Banks was a guest on Wild ‘N Out back in 2019 where DC called her ugly. However, many fans did not find Banks’ comments justified. He is grieving the loss of his partner, so many found her remarks extremely distasteful.

“imma need the Wild n Out cast to roast Azealia Banks the way they did Spoken Reasons,” one fan wrote referring to the viral episode. “i need them to REALLY make this woman cry because enough is enough.”
“I’m so disgusted at what Azealia Banks said about Jacky’s passing , YOU TOOK IT PERSONAL THAT DC clowned you on Wild N Out when you knew what that show was about!!,” another fan wrote. “This lady has no soul and is very sad ! God don’t play about his children HE NEVER DID !! My love and prayers still goes out to DC and his family !”
DC Young Fly spoke out for the first time following the death of Jacky Thursday (June 8).
“I wasn’t in no rush to post this because I wanted it to be a dream so bad but every hour I’m reminded of realty so I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner,” the comedian wrote to Instagram.
“You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW your soul was beautiful Yu always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family love each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!,” he continued as she shared a text message exchange of the two saying he’d “pray for her” while the details around as to why aren’t clear.
“LOVE YOU FOREVER jus know we goinn harder than ever and GOD is in control and he got us covered,” he concluded.
DC Young Fly and Jacky Oh, whose real name is Jacklyn Smith, share three kids: 6-year-old Nova, 2-year-old Nala, and 10-month-old Prince’Nehemiah.
