2 Michiganders Compete For Love On New Bachelorette Season
In the 20th season of “The Bachelorette,” two former students of Michigan State University will participate as contestants. As we count down the days until the newest season of “The Bachelorette,” fans of “Bachelor Nation” are buzzing with anticipation for any scoop on the contestants. This time around, we have not one but two MSU alumni ready to win the affection of Charity Lawson.
Meet the contestants in the upcoming “Bachelorette” season
Making waves from Dearborn is 28-year-old Ahmad “Khalid” Hassan representing his hometown in the fierce competition. With a bold and spirited announcement on Instagram, Khalid showcased a grand red rose, proudly bearing his Dearborn pride on his hand, proving he’s a true Michigander through and through.
This contestant from Dearborn is a driven Tech Recruiter and a proud graduate of Michigan State University. Peeking into Khalid’s bio, we learn that he comes from a close-knit Muslim family, blessed with the companionship of seven siblings. If Khalid manages to seize Charity’s attention long enough to secure a coveted hometown date.
Adding to the Michigan crew, we have Caleb Arthur from Ann Arbor making his appearance on the show. To avoid any mix-ups with another contestant, he will be known as “Caleb A.” throughout the season.
Although not as active on social media as his fellow Michigan representative, Caleb A. has already given fans a taste of his charm before the season premiere. In his Instagram announcement, he accompanied a delightful caption that read, “I’d love for you all to donate your time to my favorite Charity this summer.” It’s worth noting that Caleb A.’s relatively modest social media presence is likely due to his ongoing residency in Family Medicine at the University of Michigan.
Alongside 23 other men, Hassan and Arthur will embark on a quest to win over Lawson’s heart and, ultimately, secure her hand in marriage. It’s going to be an exciting journey filled with love, drama, and plenty of Michigan flair.
TV Supporting Characters With Main Character Energy
Supporting characters in TV shows are often friends who know the main character better than anyone else. Sometimes side characters in TV shows have the tendency to become protagonists in a story that’s not their own. A lot of supporting characters have truly shined in their roles. The best supporting characters make fans want to learn more about them, or for them to take a larger role.
In some cases, support characters do get some sort of spin-off series. For instance, Saul from Breaking Bad got a prequel series, Better Call Saul. Frasier from Cheers had his own very successful series, Frasier. There’s also Zoey Johnson from Black-ish who spun into Grown-ish and Sam Puckett from iCarly who ended up in Sam & Cat.
Here, we’ve listed side characters that exude main character energy or absolutely steal the show. At times, the official main character took a back seat to their supporting castmate.
An example would be Michael Scott from The Office. Though he may be the quotable showstopper of the show, side characters like Dwight, Stanley, and Kevin would often steal the scene.
Some of the supporting characters we listed are from shows like The Walking Dead, Chidi from The Good Place, Stranger Things, and Emily In Paris.
