Young Thug Returns With Surprise Album ‘Business Is Business’

Young Thug surprised fans when he announced that he would have an album dropping at midnight. Business Is Business is executive produced by Metro Boomin. Additional production is provided by Southside, Wheezy, FNZ, Dr. Luke, and more. Vocal features on the album include assists from Drake, Future, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, Lil Uzi Vert, Bslime, and Nate Ruess.

While the release of a new album from Thugger is exciting for fans, it comes at a bittersweet time, as the YSL founder is still incarcerated. Business Is Business is the first project Thugger has released since he was arrested last May for gang-related charges in Georgia. Gunna who was one of Thug’s associates was released from jail in December and has since been labeled a “snitch” by fans. He addressed those allegations in his album released last week titled A Gift & A Curse.

“That’s four walls talkin’ to you, tellin’ you you gone/ Only I done criеd, ’cause this feelin’ for my bro (King Slime)/ And you know my mind, you done watched that n—- grow/ I know you hear the lies, it’s your lil’ brother, my folk/ Yeah, I had popped out, but don’t let ’em say I told,” he raps on “I Was Just Thinking.”

Business Is Business follows Punk which was released in 2021 which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
