Adventurous Duck Takes a Spin on Cedar Point Roller Coaster
Every year, Cedar Point in Ohio becomes a magnet for roller coaster fanatics craving that adrenaline rush. And recently, a very brave duck made an unexpected appearance on a roller coaster.
A Cedar Point spokesperson confirmed with 13 ABC that earlier this week, a duck accidentally flew into the moving train of the Millennium Force roller coaster. People on the ride managed to get photos and videos showing the duck tucked behind a back seat. According to Cedar Point’s website, the Millennium Force roller coaster reaches a maximum speed of 93 mph.
The duck was safely taken off the train as soon as the ride ended. According to the spokesperson, while people were getting off, a guest wasted no time and snatched up the duck before the maintenance team could even arrive to help. What happened next to the duck is anyone’s guess, as its whereabouts remain a mystery.
Although, according to a post on Reddit, the woman took the duck to guest services, where it would then be turned over to wildlife rehab.
Duck Ride Reactions
The reactions to the duck’s unexpected roller-coaster adventure were priceless, just as you’d expect. “What? The duck?” one person hilariously commented on Reddit. Another commenter addressed the duck’s audacity, jokingly saying, “Yah, the nerve of this duck just blatantly skipping the line while everyone else waits an hour!” However, the real debate seemed about the person who rescued the duck. “So did that lady just grab a wild duck and wrangle it with her bare hands or was that her duck that she brought on Millie? Both are equally weird.”
It seems that this extraordinary duck ride had everyone buzzing and questioning the oddities of the situation.
This is the best possible ending when it comes to animals on roller coasters. Back in May, a roller coaster at Canada’s Wonderland during a ride and had an unfortunate collision with a bird. It exploded all over the folks in the front row, according to reports.
Additional details were not provided, but we’re relieved to hear that the duck safely exited the roller coaster in Ohio.
10 Best Amusement Parks in America
America doesn’t lack for having the best amusement parks. Whether you’re a daredevil and want to ride the tallest, scariest roller coasters in the world or prefer just eating park food, a day at the park can be a super fun experience.
One great thing about theme parks is that you can usually find one within driving distance. This makes amusement parks a reasonable choice for a family vacation or weekend giveaway, especially if money is an issue. Amusement parks are also great for capturing memories for kids. When I was a child, my family took me to several parks in Michigan, California, Ohio and Florida, so I have great memories from those trips.
The best theme parks also have convenient lodging nearby, making the trip truly seamless. That’s not to mention the awesome water parks that are often attached to today’s theme parks. Also, even though theme parks are meant for kids, it’s obvious that adults can have just as much fun at them, too.
