Report: Jim Harbaugh’s Suspension Agreement a No-Go
Remember when news broke that Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and the NCAA were working together on a resolution in regards to violations alleging Harbaugh misled NCAA investigators? Well, Jim Harbaugh’s suspension agreement has reportedly fallen through.
This doesn’t mean that Harbaugh won’t be suspended. But, it does mean that things are going to get complicated. The case between Harbaugh and the NCAA will now to go a hearing before the Committee on Infractions.

Yahoo! and Sports Illustrated are reporting that Harbaugh is scheduled to coach every game this fall. But, there’s still a chance that he will have to sit things out, depending on what happens at that hearing before the Committee on Infractions. But, since the case is now going through the typical normal hearing process, it will probably be pushed into 2024. So, chances are, even if Harbaugh has to sit out some games, those won’t take place until the 2024 season. That’s good news for this year’s team, of course.
The suspension was for the Level I and II violations the NCAA said Harbaugh and the football program allegedly committed. The Level II violations came from recruiting and coaching infractions. The Level I offenses were due to “misleading” statements that Harbaugh allegedly made to the NCAA.
