Detroit Lions Player Named One of the Most Valuable in the NFL Under 25
The hype is building and building. Can you contain your excitement? I’m so ready for the NFL season to start. The first game of the season takes place on Sept. 7, and it’s our very own Detroit Lions up against the Kansas City Chiefs. Of course, the Chiefs are the current Super Bowl champions, so it’s going to be a tough game, but I think we’re going to put up a good fight. Now, we have bragging rights when it comes to one of our young players. NFL.com has posted its list of the most valuable players in the NFL under 25. One Detroit Lions player has been named one of the most valuable in the NFL under 25.
The list comes from Nick Shook, who has put together a roster of the top players under 25 years old going into the 2023 season.

Before we get to the Lions, let’s look at my other favorite team, the Philadelphia Eagles. They also have one player under 25 on the list, and that’s Jordan Davis, who is 23 years old. “Davis was playing an important but understated role for the Eagles last season, occupying blockers and stuffing run lanes,” Shook writes. He adds that, “Davis will soon be a household name; I’ll take the hat tips then.” By the way, Jalen Hurts just turned 25, so he can’t be on this list.
As for the Detroit Lions, it should be no surprise that Aidan Hutchinson is on this list. He’s 22. Shook shares a cool stat, that Hutchinson led all rookies with 9.5 sacks last season. I personally think he should have been Defensive Rookie of the Year honors, but that honor went to Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner, who is also exceptionally great. “Hutchinson’s three interceptions further underscore how much of an impact he can have on a game,” Shook writes. “I can’t wait to see what he does in Year 2.” I can’t wait, either.
