This is not the first time Cardi has teased her upcoming album. She previously has discussed why the album has taken so long to come out.
“When it comes to music and everything, I just be feeling like I don’t be liking anything,” she said back in December on Instagram Live. “I feel like I got so many songs and I don’t like anything. I feel like nothing is good enough… And I got so much money saved up I just be like, ‘Yeah, whatever the f—.'”
She added that the pressure from everyone commenting on what she does also plays a role although she has decided to block it out and keep going.
“I used to love making music, but now, making music to me has become like a job that gives me anxiety,” Cardi B says in the video. “Everybody just critiques everything that I do, that it’s just like…you know, sometimes you just don’t want to do something that may give you that much anxiety. So I just be like, “Uh!” — freezing myself but I have to let that go. I have to release more music — I have to go out there.”
