Rihanna & A$AP Rocky Show Off Newborn Son For The First Time

Author Autumn Hawkins
September 19th 12:32 PM
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 13: ASAP Rocky and Rihanna attend The 2021 Met Gala Celebrating In America: A Lexicon Of Fashion at Metropolitan Museum of Art on September 13, 2021 in New York City.

The first photos of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s newborn son are finally here. The new family of four posed for photos at home with their 1-month old son who reportedly is named Riot Rose. The baby was wearing a pink two-piece outfit with white socks while RiRi and A$AP smiled with joy.

In other photos, their 16-month-old son RZA made an appearance. RiRi and A$AP Rocky coordinated in denim with RZA in a grey sweater with red and yellow sleeves standing next to Mom. Riot is wearing a light pink outfit and classic Timbs, held by Dad.

Another photo shows a close-up of RiRi holding Riot in their pink blanket.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky Welcome Their Second Child

Rihanna announced she was pregnant during her historic Super Bowl performance earlier this year.

It was reported earlier this month that their newborn son is named Riot Rose. According to the birth certificate that was obtained by The Blast, it indicates that their second child, a boy, was born on August 1 at 7:41 a.m. in Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Hospital. When news broke, reports indicated their child was born on August 3 (not August 1). The Blast reports that the couple named their newborn son Riot Rose. Their first son, RZA, was named after the Wu-Tang Clan member. The name Riot Rose also has some musical ties as A$AP just dropped a song titled “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n).”

The Wu-Tang Clan member was asked by CNN what he thought of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky thought of them naming their child after him and he expressed that he couldn’t be more honored.

He said that it’s “a great honor to know that there’s another generation that’s not even of my own household that feels the strength and the inspiration of that name. RZA [isn’t] only a name, it’s a title. So it’s an honor and I salute her and ASAP and their family. All the blessings in the world from me.”

Take a look at the photos below:
