From a Food Truck Rally to an event for women’s health, there’s a ton to do in Metro Detroit this weekend.
This Weekend in Metro Detroit
If you’re looking for some things to do this weekend around Metro Detroit, I’ve got a few ideas for you. First of all, the Karmanos Cancer Center is having their free cancer screening event, which you know I’m a huge proponent of. Although this is Breast Cancer Month, they’re scanning for all types of cancers, like lung, skin, breast cancer, and so much more. Plus, they’re going to have a self care day, so like massages and yoga and an Eastern Market Farm Stand and a bunch of stuff. So, if you do want to have a mammogram that day, you do need to register advance, otherwise you could just show up and they’ll register you on site. That happens from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit. I’ll be there with The Bounce Squad from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, so I hope to see you there. The RV and Camper Show at Suburban Show Place in Novi is going on now through Sunday. I’ll actually be out there as well from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, so come see us!
And then the Detroit Harvest Fest & Food Truck Rally is going down this weekend as well. That’s over 60 food trucks. If you’re a foodie like me, you have got to get down there. 75 live bands and fall-themed activities, so bring the kids. It is a family fun event. That all happens on the Dequindre Cut tomorrow and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and The Bounce Squad is going to be out there Sunday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Jason Derulo is being sued by singer Emaza Gibson. She claims the singer made unwanted advances toward her.
Jason Derulo Sued For Sexual Harassment
Jason Derulo is facing a lawsuit brought by Emaza Gibson, formerly of the group Ceraadi. She wanted to go solo and wanted to be attached to Atlantic Records, so she signed under Jason Derulo’s label, who was under Atlantic. She said that she rejected a bunch of sexual advances from him, and repeated invitations to go out drinking, to dinner, and some sort of like blood ritual, all this crazy stuff. And that he eventually dropped her deal altogether because she did turn down those advances, so she’s suing him for sexual harassment. And Jason responded. Now, these are all alleged claims, but the video very much reminded me of the Bill Clinton video when he was denying the thing with Monica Lewinsky. He seems guilty of something, you know?
