Megan Thee Stallion Clears Up Ex-BFF Shooting Claims
Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram Live to debunk Tory Lanez’s bodyguard’s alleged statement saying that he saw a woman with the gun in her hand on the night Megan was shot. Jaquan Smith, who was Lanez’s bodyguard and driver, allegedly submitted a statement in support of the “Say It” rapper’s appeal. Smith did not testify in court during Lanez’s trial. He is allegedly stating that Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former best friend, had the gun and was “struggling” with Megan. In the alleged court documents it states that he did not, in fact, witness who shot Megan.
“I’m trying to move on from being shot the best I can,” Megan addressed her fans and naysayers on an Instagram Live Wednesday (Dec. 13). “I still wake up in the middle of the night crying. People, especially people that I used to be cool with, they know how bad social media affects me. Everybody in my life knew how bad social media would make me cry.”
She then addressed the convicted shooter: “Tory Lanez is getting denied every time they try and set a motion for a new trial so they trying to pull shit out the air. I’m not about to keep going with y’all. Y’all defending somebody who didn’t even take the stand and defend their self.”
Megan Thee Stallion Says Former Best Friend Kelsey Harris Did Not Shoot Her
“Y’all trying to pretend like Kelsey shot me,” she said of her former best friend. “Kelsey didn’t f—— shoot me and I really wonder why. Her main problem with me was, ‘You won’t tell people I didn’t shoot you.’
“I was like, ‘Kelsey, I don’t want to talk about this on social media at all.’ But now you won’t even get online and defend yourself, so that really just proves my point: either you took some money or your life is in danger!”
She then put the heat right back at Lanez: “If you say you didn’t shoot me, why wouldn’t you get on the stand and say, ‘I didn’t shoot you?’ You should’ve said, ‘I didn’t do it. Kelsey did it.'”
“If she did it, why won’t you just say, ‘She did it?’ Kelsey, if you did not do it, why won’t you just say, ‘I did not do it.’ I know who shot me, I said who shot me and that’s why the f— you in jail.”
Lanez was convicted of the shooting and is now serving 10 years in prison.
