Josh Reynolds of the Detroit Lions is unable to make a catch during the third quarter against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. It was difficult loss after an exciting season for the Lions.
Detroit Lions End Great Season With Tough Loss
Sad news this morning for the Detroit Lions Super Bowl run. It’s a great season though. They lost last night to the San Francisco 49ers 34 to 31 after things just fell apart in the second half.
After the game, Coach Dan Campbell addressed tha media and said, “You feel like you got your heart ripped out. But I’m proud of that group. And I’ll go anywhere with that group. And you wish you could keep it all together, but that’s not the reality. So, you know, we did some really good things, but today we didn’t do enough. And it’s tough.”
Lions quarterback Jared Goff told reporters, “It sucks. It’s pretty devastating. You know, there is a state of shock a little bit. And yeah, I just. I’m proud to be a part of this team. And it’s hard to juggle those two emotions of being proud of what we’ve done this year and dealing with the heartache of the loss.”
Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown echoed Campbell’s and Goff’s remarks that the loss hurt, but that they’ll look at it for motivation for next season. “We had a good year, you know, if you look at it as a whole. But, you know, it’s all for for nothing if you don’t win the whole thing. Everyone’s goal at the start of the year is to win the Super Bowl. And if you don’t you kind of fail the season. So whether you lose here in the NFC championship or don’t make the playoffs, it’s all the same. So, yeah we’ll be we’ll be ready.”
Heartbreaking. I’ll be very honest. At the end of the third quarter I turned the game off and went upstairs. First of all, going into halftime, I posted, “This is our time”. And then I just felt like I jinxed them. But also, I was pacing around my house, twirling both sides of my hair, cussing. And I was like, ‘Is it worth it?’ Is this worth me waking up in a bad mood? So, I went to bed and then I checked the score this morning. I figured if they won, I would just watch it back. Tough loss after a terrific season. Speaking of Detroit, Eminem was there at the game flipping people off and stuff. He’s probably eating those right now. Eminem had a diss track already when it comes to Benzino. But when the topic of new music came up on the Shade 45 podcast he said, “I’m working on a little something.” I’ve had a feeling this was coming because he’s been out and about everywhere in the public and he’s usually in his little bat cave away from people.

Their beef has been like 20-something years long. Back in 2002, The Source magazine only gave Eminem’s Eminem Show album 4 out of 5 Mics and Eminem called the rating unfair and he blamed The Source and Benzino, who was a co-founder, claiming that he never would get a 5 Mic rating because of his race. Then, aside from dissing The Source, I guess when Benzino came to talk about his movie “8 Mile” he shaded him and was like, ‘no thanks’. So, then Benzino came out with a diss track to Eminem back then. So, yeah. Crazy.

That’s not all when it comes to celebrity beef. Megan Thee Stallion released her song “Hiss” And they say the line about “Megan’s Law” was about Nicki Minaj and her husband. I talked about this last week on the Scoop. Everybody thought she was talking about Nicki’s husband because Megan’s Law is about registered sex offenders, which Nicki’s husband is. So, now Nicki has dropped her response, a song called “Big Foot” that goes in on Megan pretty hard. It’s wild. Nicki brought up Megan’s mom who’s passed away.
