In today’s Shannon’s Scoop, 7-11 is saying they’re coming out with a hot dog flavored sparkling water, the latest Diddy news, and Big Sean did an NPR Tiny Desk concert!

7-11 Celebrates Its 75th Anniversary

This has got to be an April Fool’s prank. 7-11 isn’t really coming out with hot dog flavored sparkling water, are they?

Did you see this mess yesterday? I swear this has to be an April Fool’s joke. 7-11 announced a new collection of seven sparkling waters and a variety of bold and cutting edge flavors, including hot dog water.

Yes. Hot dog flavored sparkling water. Get out of here. Yeah, right. I ain’t drinking that – YOU’RE drinking that. Now, the reason why I feel like it’s an April Fool’s joke is because they said more details on the availability of the flavor will be revealed on April 1st.

It’s got to be a joke, right? Anyways, they said in the meantime you can enjoy the rest of the flavors at your local 7-11 store. So, I hope that’s a joke. My god. It makes me want to throw up.

Latest Diddy News

SXSW Interview: Sean "Diddy" Combs - 2014 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive

There are responses to the Diddy raid, both for and against him, and new allegations have surfaced.

The fallout continues with Diddy and his lawsuit. First of all, you know he’s had a long standing beef with Mase due to his treatment by Diddy back in the day and over the past several years. He’s given a little bit of a response as to what is going on with Diddy right now on his podcast. He said that, “Reparations is getting closer and closer”. Check out the clip below to see him laughing about it. Well, I cannot say that I blame him if what he’s been saying about Diddy is actually true. I think he’s probably been waiting for this day for a long time.

And it doesn’t stop there. Yung Miami is also mentioned in the lawsuit for supplying Diddy with drugs. When his alleged drug mule, who was arrested just the other day, forgot to bring them, they say he called Yung Miami, who then transported drugs on a private plane to their location from Miami. She hasn’t responded yet on anything. We’ll have to see if she does.

Tyrese and Uncle Luke came out yesterday to try and defend Diddy in his situation and they received a lot of backlash.

Also, writer, cultural critic, podcaster and TV host Touré was on MSNBC with Joy Reid and he made a revelation. He talked about a relative of his who interned with Diddy and lost that internship after the relative wouldn’t come back home with Diddy. Check out what Touré’s had to say below.

 

Now, a lot of people online say, ‘what does this have to do with sex trafficking?’ Maybe it’s not that, but it’s definitely wrong for someone in a position of power to affect your job moving forward like that. Right? As Joe Budden said just yesterday, this is not the end of Diddy’s troubles.

He said that if Homeland Security is involved, they definitely have some sort of evidence on you and that a lot more is about to go down and I don’t disagree. We’ll keep you posted on any further developments.

“The Detroit Don” Big Sean is the latest to perform on NPR’s Tiny Desk.

Detroit’s own Big Sean, who I just love so much, is the most recent artist to do a Tiny Desk performance on NPR. It dropped yesterday.

Some of the songs he did included “Blessings”, “Play No Games”, “Memories”, “Marvin & Chardonnay”, “I Don’t F*** With You” and many more.

Growing a beard is a hard thing to do if you aren’t genetically blessed. Even still, some beards don’t grow in full until some men are well into adulthood. Beards used to have a stigma attached to them: you were unprofessional, dirty, aggressive, or even threatening. In modern times, that stigma still exists for more conservative professions, like the armed forces or in the healthcare field. Celebrities often change their look for a role, shaving or growing out their hair or facial hair. Some famous people are known for their signature beards, and when shaved off, look completely unrecognizable!

Types of Beard Styles

Regardless of the beard length or style, as long as it is well-groomed, rocking a beard can be a nice change. According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, if you want a healthy-looking beard, you need to take care of the skin beneath it. The right skin care can prevent problems like acne, beard dandruff, and itch. It is important to wash your face and beard daily, otherwise, dirt, oils, germs, pollution, and dead skin cells that build up on your beard can clog your pores and irritate your skin. Next is moisturizing your skin and beard. Though this may seem like unnecessary steps, this will help soften your skin and beard hairs. Plus, why progress aging?

Beards add contrast and dimension to your face. Since not everyone’s faces are shaped the same, there are different styles that look better on some people and not others. For those with square-shaped faces, goatees are better suited. Those with rounder faces should opt for beards fuller in length on the chin. For oval-shaped heads, when it comes to facial hair or the hair on top of your head, any style would look great.
