Downtown Will Be Hopping With Tigers & Wings Fans

There's a lot going on downtown Friday. Fans will be in the city for both the Tigers and the Red Wings.
Well, it's a doubleheader for the city today. First, we've got Detroit Tigers opening day at Comerica Park. The game starts at 1:10 PM where the Tigers host the Oakland A's.
And then across the street, the Red Wings home game against the New York Rangers is going to be played at 7:00 PM at Little Caesars Arena. And this is important because the Wings are pretty close to making it to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
So, people will be partying downtown all day. And remember, if you need a ride home from downtown, make sure that you use the code Wallside2024 in the Lyft app to get 50% off your ride. Just a reminder so that you can stay safe.
And if you are going downtown for the Tigers game, come see us. I'm going to be at Old Shillelagh from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Greektown. They've got three floors of fun, live entertainment, all kinds of stuff going on. And Mean Jean will be at Bert's on Brush from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. We'll both have prizes to give away while we're there. It's going to be awesome. We always love it when we get to meet you in person, so please come see both of us.
J.Cole vs Kendrick Lamar Feud Heats Up

J. Cole has responded to Kendrick Lamar's diss with one of his own.
The hip hop feud continues between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar. It was initially sparked by something that was supposed to be positive. In October last year, Drake released his album "For All The Dogs". There is a track on there called "First Person Shooter" that was a collaboration with J. Cole, and in one of the verses, it suggested that Drake and Kendrick and J. Cole were the Big 3 of current hip hop. He said, "Love when they argue the hardest MC, Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me? We the Big 3 like we started a league".
Apparently Kendrick wasn't happy about that. And he responded with a verse on Future's song "Like That" where he said, "Motherf--- the Big 3, It's just big me". Kendrick also said that Cole's best verses were insubstantial and declared that he was the Prince to Drake's Michael Jackson.
Now, J. Cole dropped a surprise album yesterday and responded on the song "7 Minute Drill" where he says, "Your first ish was classic, your last ish was tragic. Your second ish put n----s to sleep, but they gassed it. Your third ish was massive, and that was your prime. I was trailing right behind, and I just now hit mine. Now I'm front of the line, with a comfortable lead. How ironic, soon as I got it, now he want something with me".
I was reading the comment section of one of the hip hop social media people and they were like 'This is weak. He should have just stayed quiet.'
I'm biased, for sure, because I'm definitely a Kendrick fan. I've met them both and, I have to say, Kendrick asked to take a picture with me. Not that I was anybody at all at that time. But he was super nice. J. Cole was 3 hours late for a meet and greet becuase he was just chilling. He made all the fans waiting to meet him late so they didn't see any of the rest of the show because they were all waiting out in front of the venue. So, that makes me even more biased.
Pharrell Announces Animated Project Featuring Lil Wayne & Coi Leray

Pharrell has an upcoming animated project for Doodles that will feature Lil Wayne and Coi Leray.
Pharrell Williams was made Chief Brand Officer of the NFT project Doodles back in 2022. And he's been doing some big things with that brand since then.
Yesterday, he made an announcement on social media that he's linked up with Lil Wayne and Coi Leray for a new animated project called "Dullsville and the Doodleverse".
It will feature both of their voices for a couple of the animated characters, and they're also going to contribute to the three song soundtrack of brand new music being created for the project.
So, it's basically an animated thing to promote the brand. They say, "Prepare for an adventure of immersive storytelling through film, music, live events, partnerships, exclusive merchandise and digital collecting experiences." It'll be, you know, collecting the NFTs, but they're also trying to promote a more immersive experience.
They said the campaign is going to roll out in early summer and then that will culminate with an immersive premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Then that will be followed by a global release. Learn more at this link.

The Hottest Celebrity Women Under 5’3″
They say that "good things come in small packages," and with these celebrities, that statement holds true. According to Healthline, the average height for women in the United States is about 5 foot 4 inches tall. This average has increased slightly over time, and research relates it to the quality of nutrition in infancy and childhood. The study even links a population’s height to its standard of living.
Even in the fashion world, female fashion models used to have to be at least 5'9" to get booked for gigs. In the age of inclusion, models of all heights and sizes are walking the runways and appearing in fashion spreads. For example, rising model Gabbriette Bechtel is only 5'4". Her accomplishments so far include starring in campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Nike, and Savage X Fenty, to name a few. She has also walked the runway for Vera Wang, Diesel, and Dsquared2, and has been featured in CR Fashion Book, Dazed, and Vogue.
For actors and singers, their marketability comes from their image in the cutthroat world of Hollywood. Height can play a factor when it comes to roles that want taller women, but for actresses like Salma Hayek and Lucy Liu who are 5'2" and 5'3" respectively, they have received many accolades for their roles in film. A number of short women have even won Oscars for Best Actress, including 4'10" Mary Pickford in 1929, 5'1" Sissy Spacek in 1980 and 5'1" Reese Witherspoon in 2005. Two time winners include 5'2" Sally Field in 1979 and in 1984 and Jodie Foster in 1988 and again in 1991. These female stars don't let their below average height stop them from being seen and heard in this competitive industry. In fact, some of these stars on this list are regarded as some of the most successful people in the entertainment industry.
