Notorious B.I.G. & More Inducted Into National Recording Registry
As we talked about on Shannon’s Scoop this morning, the Library of Congress is finally putting some great albums and songs into the National Recording Registry.
The Registry recognizes songs and albums that are deemed to be culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. There are only like 650 songs right now that are in there, so, it is an exclusive category to be in.
The Notorious B.I.G.’s 1994 debut album Ready to Die is being inducted as well as Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick’s 1985 single, “La Di Da Di,” and more. They’re definitely worthy of inclusion.
