Sexxy Red samples Shawn Michaels (WWE Hall of Famer) is not a sentence I thought I'd be typing in 2024, but here we are. My worlds are colliding and I'm intrigued to say the least (which is not something I thought I'd be saying about a Sexxy Red song.

Yesterday the rapper, best known for her song "Pound Town" took to the internet to preview a new song that will have a familiar sound to it for wrestling fans. As the song samples Michaels' iconic "Sexy Boy" theme music, which he performs himself.

Sexxy Red samples Shawn Michaels' "Sexy Boy"

As you can hear she flips the lyrics around, where Shawn says "I'm just a sexy boy, I'm not your boy toy," her version is "I'm just a sexy girl, welcome to sexy world." If you've never heard the original take a listen:

I have never looked forward to a Sexxy Red song in the time she arrived on the scene, but with her sampling one of the greatest themes in WWE history, I am interested. This is the an interesting clash of two things that I am really into.

As you can see above, Hip Hop and wrestling have been intertwined for years. At this year's WrestleMania alone; Meek Mill, Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg were all a part of the show. A lot of Hip Hop artist have also name dropped wrestlers in their songs.

Other artists have even titled their songs after wrestlers; Migos - "Rick Flair Drip," Bad Bunny - "Booker T," and Eladio Carrion - "RKO."  To my knowledge this will be the first time that an artist has sampled WWE entrance music.

Sexxy Red samples Shawn Michaels theme music and she's got my attention, shoutout to whoever had the idea for her to do this. Now to wait and see if WWE gives her clearance. Stay updated on this release on Sexxy Red's Instagram.

Why You Should Follow These 7 Rappers On TikTok

TikTok is a place where you can find out your favorite artist's personality. Artists and their teams have been able to leverage social media to their advantage. It gives fans an inside look at who they are as a person outside of their music.

Latto is a perfect example of how she uses social media to her advantage and connects with fans. She often posts silly videos of her and her sister Brooklyn trying new food, participating in TikTok challenges, and previewing new music.

The Atlanta native has had an exciting year thus far as she was nominated for two Grammys. Latto was nominated for Best New Artist and her "Big Energy (Live)" was nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards. On top of that, she just won her second BET Award on Sunday for Best Female Hip Hop Artist.

She later hit the stage to perform her latest single "Put It On Da Floor."

Latto and Cardi B "Put It On Da Floor Again," for the remix of her viral hit. The firey remix accompanies their music video, where Latto and Cardi B run around a grocery store, jewelry store and party reciting the lyrics. Cardi B's husband Offset makes a cameo as does LSU star Angel Reese.

Besides music, Latto has used social media to clear up any beef she's had with fellow rappers. Back in March, a fan accused Latto of mimicking Ice Spice's cover to her debut EP Like...?

"Every time y’all accuse me of copying folks ima clear it up. Nun mo nun less."

"I don’t like how y’all take my tweets & make them fit ur weak a-- narratives," she added in a separate tweet.
