Juneteenth on the Dequindre Cut
One of the highlights today is Juneteenth on the Cut, taking place at the Dequindre Cut from 2 PM to 7 PM. This event will feature live music, storytelling, food trucks, vendors, and interactive activities. It’s always a fantastic time down at the Dequindre Cut, and today promises to be no different. If you haven’t visited before, it’s a beautiful spot, and with all the festivities, it’s the perfect day to check it out.

Charles H. Wright Museum’s Jubilee
Another must-attend event is the Juneteenth Jubilee at the Charles H. Wright Museum, running from 10 AM to 5 PM. This annual celebration includes educational activities and a chance to explore the museum’s exhibits. It’s a great opportunity to learn and celebrate Juneteenth in a meaningful way.

Capitol Park Juneteenth Celebration
Capitol Park will also be busy with activities from 12PM until 8 PM. This event will celebrate history and traditions through African dance and drum performances, music, poetry, a pop-up bookstore, and more. There’s something for everyone, and it’s a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the culture and history of Juneteenth.
