Hate to say we told you so, but The Fugees tour cancelled… again. The announcement has left fans disappointed. The tour was set to kick off this Friday in Tampa, FL. The late summer and fall tour had 18 dates scheduled all over the United States.

Fans who had tickets to the show were blindsided when they received an email notifying them of the cancellation, with refunds on the way. So far, ticket holders for the European dates scheduled for October remain unaffected for now. You would have to assume that is coming soon, though.

The last time we saw Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras together, they took the stage at the 2024 BET Awards. Which I’m sure gave fans reason to believe the tour would actually happen. As of now, no reason for the cancellation was given.

This is the third time the Fugees tour canceled has happened. Last November, their tour was cut short due to vocal strain issues, with Hill. The group's history of cancellations and inconsistent performances has become a recurring theme, that has frustrated even their most devoted fans.

Despite the setbacks, the love for Lauryn Hill and the Fugees is strong. Hill's album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, was recently ranked the number one album of all time by Apple Music, highlighting her enduring influence. While the reasons for the tour's cancellation remain unclear, fans are left wondering if they will ever see the iconic group perform live again.

You also have to wonder if this is a time too many for the group. More specifically Lauryn Hill, who has a history of showing up late to shows and now the third time the Fugees Tour cancelled has happened. Eventually, she will announce a tour that people will be skeptical to buy tickets to. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Keep up to date on this story on Variety.
