In heartbreaking news, Mariah Carey is mourning the loss of both her mother, Patricia, and her sister, Allison, who passed away on the same day over the weekend. Although details surrounding their deaths are not fully disclosed, Mariah shared a statement expressing her grief. In a statement given to TMZ Mariah Carey said, "My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed. I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time."

Mariah's relationship with her family has been complex, especially with her sister, who once sued her. Despite their differences, the double loss is undoubtedly a tragic and painful experience for the singer. Mariah has asked for privacy during this difficult time, and fans and the public alike are sending their condolences.
