Detroit Lions fans will be getting downtown early for Sunday’s game. If the temperatures are too cold for you outside, there are plenty of places opening early.

Detroit Lions fans throughout Michigan have bought into the hype and things are about to turn up even more with the Lions hosting Seattle on Monday Night Football. The anticipation for tonight's game is through the roof, and Ford Field will be at a fever pitch when the game kicks off. That's all well and good for tonight, but what happens when all of us have to wake up for work and school early on Tuesday morning?
What Does Tuesday Morning After A Detroit Lions Win Look Like?
I know I'm going out on a limb here but stay with me. MNF doesn't kick off until 8:15 pm, which means watching the entire game will land you in bed after 11 pm if you watched the game at home. If you are lucky enough to be at the game, you're not getting home and in bed until way after midnight. I know Detroit is all about the GRIT, but 5 hours of sleep turns my grit into s#*t.
Here's what I'm proposing:
Any season that the Lions are legitimately in the Super Bowl conversation, Lions fans are entitled to a recovery day after a primetime game. For example, if the Lions played a huge Monday night game, then Tuesday would be a day off of work and school. Simple right?
Let's all just give it an unofficial run tomorrow after the game tonight, and if it feels good we can just apply it to the Detroit Tigers playoff run tomorrow!
If your boss is not happy with you missing Tuesday, just let me know and I'll write you a note. It won't do you any good, but at least this way we're all doing our part.
