Detroit’s Movement Music Festival just dropped its full lineup for 2025, and it’s bringing the beats back to Hart Plaza this Memorial Day Weekend!

Big news—headliner Charlotte de Witte has joined the party, alongside the already-announced Carl Cox and John Summit.
“I’m beyond excited to return to the main stage of Detroit Movement Festival,” says Belgian DJ de Witte. “The city and its music have inspired me so much throughout my life and career. I can’t wait to share some unforgettable moments with you all on the dance floor.”

This year’s festival is stacked, featuring over 115 artists! New additions include viral sensation horsegiirL, A$AP Mob’s very own FERG, and DJ (plus Abbott Elementary star) Zack Fox.

Since Movement is all about celebrating Detroit’s music scene, expect plenty of hometown legends, too! Local heroes like Moodymann (teaming up with Carl Craig and Underground Resistance co-founder Mike Banks), Huey Mnemonic, Stacey Pullen, Jon Dixon, DJ Holographic, Waajeed b2b Ladymonix, Rimarkable, Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, and many more will be lighting up the stages.

They’re joining a killer lineup of artists already announced, including Detroit’s Carl Craig, HiTech, and DJ Minx, plus international stars like Jamie xx, Boys Noize, Ela Minus, Sara Landry, and Sama’ Abdulhadi.

The festival will also feature local showcases, including Craig’s Detroit Love, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, DJ Minx’s House Your Life, and a brand-new one this year—Waajeed’s Underground Music Academy, which mentors and educates Detroit’s future DJs. Those showcase lineups will be revealed closer to the event.

As always, Movement is independently run by Paxahau, the same team behind AfroFuture (an African music festival making its U.S. debut in Detroit this summer) and the longtime operations partner for the Detroit Jazz Festival on Labor Day Weekend.

Mark your calendars—Movement Music Festival takes over Detroit May 24-26! Grab your passes at movementfestival.com.
