Week 6 of the federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs brought significant developments, including juror changes, important witness testimony, and new digital evidence shaping the case.

One juror was dismissed on Monday after providing inconsistent information about his residence. On Wednesday, proceedings were halted when another juror was unable to attend court due to vertigo symptoms. With court closed Thursday for the Juneteenth holiday and a planned half day on Friday (6/20), only two and a half days of testimony took place this week. These disruptions added further complexity to an already high-profile trial.

Former assistant Brendan Paul testified he was tasked with buying drugs, but was not a "drug mule," according to a report from nypost.com. He also stated he would routinely work 80- to 100-hour workweeks, assisting with coordinating Diddy’s travel, organizing fitness routines, managing meal plans, and handling various personal needs, including preparing hotel rooms for what were referred to as “freak offs” or “wild king nights” before Combs’s arrival.

Paul testified that, like other former assistants, he would stock these rooms with items for the alleged king nights, and a Gucci pouch containing drugs. He also stated that he sometimes cleaned up the rooms after these parties.

A focal point of the trial this week was the discussion of controversial “freak off” videos and text messages exchanged between Combs and singer Cassie Ventura. The defense used these materials to argue that the interactions were consensual, countering the prosecution’s claims of coercion and manipulation.

Sean Combs faces serious charges, including racketeering and forced sex trafficking spanning over two decades. He continues to plead not guilty to all accusations. While prosecutors have presented extensive digital evidence and witness testimony, key testimonies, such as from Combs’ chief of staff, are still forthcoming.

As the trial moves into week seven, the defense prepares to challenge the prosecution’s evidence and present its case.
