The 34th Senior Fun Festival kicks off September 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lorenzo Cultural Center. Clinton Township hosts this mix of useful info and activities for older adults.

The Macomb County Office of Senior Services runs this major gathering. Visitors can learn about local programs, meet service providers, and grab freebies during the event at 44575 Garfield Road. Short talks mix with hands-on demos throughout the morning.

"It's always an honor to take part in the Senior Fun Festival," said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, who will serve as master of ceremonies, according to Hoodline.

Each year, more than 1,000 guests fill the center. Guests check out exhibits while lucky winners take home raffle prizes. The first 500 visitors get special welcome bags packed with items.

"Our goal is to help Macomb County residents age in place and events like the Senior Fun Festival help ensure they have the tools and connections to do just that," said Sheila Cote, director of the Office of Senior Services.

Tables line the halls with experts ready to talk about money matters and home support. The setup makes it simple to find answers about health, housing, and daily needs all at once.

"Social connection is a key part of staying healthy as we age," said Andrew Cox, Macomb County Director and Health Officer, pointing out how the event brings the community together.
