This winter, Pine Knob Music Theatre will light up the night sky. From November 21, 2025, through January 3, 2026, visitors can wind through a glowing wonderland filled with two million LED lights.
"Magic of Lights has become a beloved holiday tradition for families right here in Detroit," said Ken Hudgens, CEO of Family Entertainment Live, according to 313 Presents. The winter spectacle transforms the music grounds into a dazzling display of motion and light.
Workers spend 3,750 hours crafting this winter wonderland. They stretch 12.6 miles of light cord across 800 welded steel frames. Some displays reach as high as a three-story building.
Cars wind through bright tunnels, including a mesmerizing 200-foot light corridor. Kids press their faces against windows to spot familiar scenes - snowmen, toy soldiers, and the twelve days of Christmas come alive in twinkling lights.
This year brings even more magic to the mix. An animated Barbie waves to passing cars, while life-sized dinosaurs add prehistoric charm to Christmas. Monster trucks roar in frozen light. At the Reindeer Rest Stop, guests can stretch their legs and walk among the sparkles.
Back for its sixth run, the show weaves 10 miles of steel beams into a canvas for lights in 10 brilliant colors.
Smart shoppers can grab Santa Saver passes for $25 while supplies last. Standard passes run $32.50 for any day, holidays included. Weekday visits are $28. Big groups in limos or party buses need a $70 pass.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. nightly at 33 Bob Seger Drive. Special holiday hours run until 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. The show takes a break on New Year's Day.
Book your spot through the Magic of Lights website - each car needs one pass. Choose your night carefully - no swaps or money back once you buy.
