Eight Michigan towns landed spots on the nation's fastest list for package delivery via the U.S. Postal Service. AutoDS, an e-commerce dropshipping platform, released the report. Ann Arbor, Canton, Dearborn, Detroit, Macomb, Taylor, Westland, and Ypsilanti all tied at seventh place. Their average? Just 3.06 days.

AutoDS examined USPS Ground Advantage statistics and ranked towns nationwide by how long residents wait for parcels. They pulled data from USPS delivery maps and U.S. Census records to determine shipping speeds.

These eight Michigan spots nearly matched the country's quickest cities. Four Ohio locations tied at first with 2.93-day averages: Hilliard, Lancaster, Delaware, and Columbus.

"New research shows just how uneven delivery times are across America – with customers in some states waiting more than four times longer for their packages than others," AutoDS stated in a release, according to MLive. "And with Christmas just around the corner, those delays couldn't come at a worse time."

Packages under one pound arrive in 2.99 days on average, the study found. Heavier parcels, those weighing between 1 and 70 pounds, take a bit longer, with an average of 3.13 days.

Two more Michigan towns made the list. Grand Blanc ranked 41st with a 4.05-day wait. East Lansing claimed 43rd place at 4.06 days.

Hawaii has the slowest mail service nationwide. Ten Hawaiian towns tied for the longest delivery time at 12.23 days.

Ten locations in Washington and Oregon tied for the slowest delivery time on the mainland at 4.28 days on average. The data reveals huge gaps in shipping speeds based on where you live.

Customers in top-ranked Michigan cities will receive parcels in roughly three days, while those elsewhere face longer waits.
