AM BUZZ Detroit Offers Free Breakfast to Police Officers on 313 Day

AM BUZZ will hand out free breakfast sandwiches and coffee to Detroit Police Department members this Thursday, March 13th. The hours? 8am to 11am. This giveaway marks the coffee shop's way of honoring 313 Day across town.

Officers on active duty can swing by AM BUZZ to grab their meal at no cost. It's a gesture of thanks. They can use the walk-up window or step inside to pick up what's theirs.

"313 Day is about celebrating Detroit and the people that make this city strong," said Becca Crass, Manager of AM BUZZ, in a statement, as shared by National Law Review. "We're proud to support the officers who work every day in our beloved city and this is a small way to say thank you."

The giveaway happens on March 13th only. No extensions. No other dates work.

AM BUZZ started up in 2025 as a coffee spot tucked inside the Cambria Detroit Hotel. The shop draws inspiration from the city's A.M. radio history, which gives it a distinct character.

Patrons can order classic coffee drinks alongside a changing lineup of Michigan-roasted beans. Breakfast and lunch items are made by hand, crafted with care.
