Chrissy Lampkin Talks Returning to ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ After 7 Years
Reality TV star, entrepreneur, and longtime partner of rapper Jim Jones, Chrissy Lampkin recently stopped by The Real to talk about her return to Love & Hip Hop: New York after a seven-year hiatus from the show.
“They said they wanted to get back to the essence of the show,” Lampkin said. “They said ‘come on and help us bring back some sexy,’ but my drama kicked in before the sexy.”
Lampkin also said that since being away from the show she hasn’t watched any episodes. The reality TV star also said that she never watched any episodes of Love & Hip Hop when she was previously on it because she hates hearing her own voice.
While on the show, Lampkin was also asked if she and Jones ever tied the knot, as the hip-hop couple’s reality TV storyline was that they were engaged for a very long time but just couldn’t seem to make it down the aisle.
“To be honest with you it’s not a priority anymore. Our relationship is in a good place,” Lampkin said. “I thought that was a natural progression but it’s not for it everybody. So we’re good right now.”
