The Overwatch Varsity Series Preview: The tournament is in three stages: National Swiss, Seeding Mixer, and Playoffs. National Swiss involves 10 rounds of games for all teams and every match is first to 2 wins. The top 24 teams qualify for the Seeding Mixer, a single-elimination tournament that determines the seeding value for all the teams before the playoffs. No one is eliminated from the tournament after losing, they just get assigned a lower seed.
