105.1 The BOUNCE & 105.9 KISS-FM Presents: Hip Hop 50
On Saturday, July 15th, Detroit will host Hip Hop 50 at The FOX Theatre, featuring some of hip hop’s most legendary names like Rakim, KRS-1, Dougie Fresh, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane, and EPMD, along with renowned Musical Director Kern Brantley who served as musical director for the likes of Beyoncé, Usher, Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga and others. The evening will be capped off with the Official Hip Hop 50 after party with an location to be determined.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds from the Hip Hop 50 will benefit the Detroit Music Group—a non-profit organization that provides special programming and workshops for underprivileged Detroit youth who are pursuing a career in music and the arts. The donations from Hip Hop 50 will contribute to furthering the organization’s mission of supporting and empowering the next generation of Detroit musicians.
