The Marshall Mathers Foundation, along with Beasley Media Detroit, International Outdoor, Forman Mills, and The Bel Air Luxury Cinema, proudly announce a community partnership to distribute hundreds of new free coats to school children in the metro Detroit area.

 

WHEN

The free coat giveaway will take place on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at the Bel Air Luxury Cinema on Eight Mile Road in Detroit. The Bel Air 10 Cinema has been the gracious host location for the community for over 17 years, providing a welcoming venue and ongoing support for this important initiative.

 

WHO IS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND 

Families in need are encouraged to attend and receive a new coat for their children, ensuring that they can stay warm this winter while walking to school. The event is open to all school-aged children in the metro Detroit area, and no prior registration is required. The child must be present to receive a coat while supplies last.

The Marshall Mathers Foundation, along with the other sponsors, has made this charitable event possible, providing warm new coats to school-age children in need — a cause that continues to embody their dedication to community and compassion. The initiative not only provides new coats but also reinforces the shared community commitment to supporting local families during the colder months.

 

 

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Beasley Media Detroit, now in its second year as a presenting partner, proved to be an outstanding collaborator last year, helping elevate awareness and community participation through its influential on-air and digital platforms.

 

International Outdoor, Michigan’s largest independently owned billboard company, located right here in the Metro Detroit area, has been a proud supporter through the years. Led by Hind, Mansoor, and Randy Oram, the company has donated multiple billboards throughout the area to promote the event and continues to be an essential community partner in outreach and awareness.

 

Forman Mills, a returning sponsor, has also proven to be very much in tune with the needs of the community, continually showing a deep commitment to supporting Detroit families and helping ensure local children have access to warm winter coats year after year.

 

This year, there have been additional sponsors who feel strongly committed to the cause. The donations will also include other warming items such as hats and gloves, as well as expanded broadcast sponsorship support. Coming on board this year are PNC Bank, The Henry Ford, Northwestern Tech, and Attorney David Femminineo.

 

This year’s outreach continues to grow through a remarkable community partnership between The Marshall Mathers Foundation, Beasley Media Detroit, International Outdoor, Forman Mills, The Bel Air Luxury Cinema, Northwestern Tech, and the other expanded sponsors — all coming together with one mission: to ensure every child in need has a warm coat this winter.
