Hands up in the air? Or holding on for dear life? What’s your roller coaster style? I have always loved roller coasters, but I have realized that the older I get the more afraid of heights I get! I wish that wasn’t true because I do love the thrill of wind blowing in your hair, hands up in the air, and screaming your lungs out.

Pure Michigan has put out a list of 13 great amusement parks in Michigan. In honor of National Roller Coaster Day today I have highlighted 5 of those for you below to check out!

• Michigan’s Adventure – Muskegon

  Head up to Muskegon & check out the roller coasters Shivering Timbers and Thunderhawk, visit Camp Snoopy, or hit the water slides at their WildWater Adventure!

• Arzo Amusement Park – Alpena

  When headed up north, be sure to stop off in Alpena to visit the Arzo Amusement Park. They have a ton of things to keep you entertained. Hit up the ferris wheel, roller coaster, laser, arcades, bungees, bumper cars, go-karts, batting cages, mini golf, and more!

• LEGOLAND Discovery Center – Auburn Hills

• Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park - Mackinaw City

  Hit their Adventure Tour, scale the five-story Treetop Discovery Tower, zip along the 425′ Eagle’s Flight Zip Line or hike more than three miles of groomed hiking trails.
