Where To Watch Fireworks In Metro-Detroit On The 4th Of July?

It feels like Independence Day really snuck up on us this year. One minute it’s Memorial Day and the next it’s somehow already the 4th of July. Can someone please make time slow down a bit? Thank you. Given how fast time has been going by this Summer, it’s natural that you might have forgotten to make plans for the 4th. You aren’t alone!

Yes, you have the option to host your own little party and fireworks display. However, I’m sure you hear the stories every year of people losing a limb in a fireworks accident. You don’t want to end up being the subject of one of those stories. So, maybe it’s best to leave the lighting of fireworks to the professionals. That way you can enjoy all the grilling, cold refreshments, and time with loved ones without having to worry about malfunctioning fireworks or where the nearest hospital is.

I have many special memories from 4th of July celebrations over the years. Metro-Detroit has some amazing events for you to enjoy and watch some fireworks. However, not any regular event will do. It would be a bummer if you went to Place A when Place B had the better display. Don’t get left out! • Your Backyard!

You know…you always have the option to just stay at home and enjoy the fireworks in your own backyard. You can have friends and family over and enjoy the holiday your own way. Sometimes it’s nice to avoid the crowd and the chaos of holiday parking. Even if you’re not comfortable handling fireworks yourself, chances are high that someone around you will be putting on a show that you can lay back, relax, and enjoy from the comforts of your own backyard.

If you’re going to do it, just make sure you’re safe and use common sense! Always have water handy via a hose or bucket. Don’t approach malfunctioning fireworks. It’s advised you wait 20 minutes and then soak the dud in water.
