Gello’s passion for radio started in his teenage years in Phoenix AZ. He would listen to his favorite station and dream of the day he would be behind the microphone. From promotions, board operating, weekends on air, morning show producing, Night show Host, Afternoon Host and Morning drive radio Host, Gello wanted to do it all.
With a radio career expanding 10+ years, he feels he’s barely scratched the surface. Smiles and positivity is a motto his mother instilled in him since birth. “Growing up my mother always told me my purpose was to LOVE. What better way to show that love than be on the radio.
Joanna, a Southfield native, has never lived more than 20 minutes from downtown Detroit (except for her four years in East Lansing where she earned a Finance Degree from Michigan State University – Go Green!). Joanna also attended Specs Howard School of Media Arts to live out her dream of working in the broadcasting industry. She worked her way from radio intern to producer to on-air personality. You can hear her weekday mornings as co-host on The Gello Show. Joanna, an avid sports fan, is also a sideline reporter for Oakland University Basketball and can be seen on ESPN3 and TV20.
When Joanna is not working, you can find her at various sporting events with her husband, cheering on her son at his football and basketball games, taking her dog Kirby on a walk, having a beer with neighbors and friends and searching for the best sushi in town.
