Middays 10am-3pm

One of the Motor City’s sweetest and most loved personalities, Nikki Vaughn was born and raised in Pontiac and is a proud graduate of Pontiac Central High School – home of the Chiefs! Nikki attended and graduated from Central State University with a BA in Radio & TV Production and a minor in Journalism. She could be heard doing a radio show on her college station 88.9 WCSU and 92.1 WROU in Dayton, OH. “My first industry job (where I actually got paid) was as a Page for NBC where I ended the program as the Audience Coordinator for “The Rosie O’Donnell Show”. After a year and a half in the Big Apple, I migrated to the West Coast and immediately started working in film…seriously, my second day in California I found myself as an extra on a film set”.

“I did the extra/movie thing for a while…enough to have been seen in “Love & Basketball”, “Whatever It Takes” and a regular on Moesha and The Parkers, plus assorted commercials and videos. After my short lived film career, I was hired as an assistant for the Carsey-Werner-Mandabach Company. They’re the producers of “The Cosby Show”, “A Different World”, “3rd Rock From The Sun”…the list goes on and on with those three. After CWM, I was hired as an Associated Producer for BET’s NYLA… (News magazine show hosted by Laz Alonzo)”.

Nikki Vaughn has also successfully endorsed many clients including Kalahari Resorts, AMBI, LaFontaine Dearborn, Avis Ford, Captain Morgan’s Rum, Don Julio, JC Penny, Johnson & Johnson, Payless, Applegate, Jackson Hewitt, Johnsonville products, DOTS, OLAY, Arby’s, Walmart, Meijer, Mr. Alans, Honey Baked Ham Co, TGIF Restaurants and more!

What Nikki Vaughn enjoys most is spending time with her family. Juggling time on the air, at station events and raising her kids keeps her busy but there’s no better quality time than when Nikki is home with her Fiancé and their two sons.

What is your favorite thing about Detroit?  There’s so much to love about the D …from the musical history, to the rich architecture downtown. But really for me it’s the people! Detroiters aren’t here to impress others. Either you appreciate the city and its people, or you don’t. It’s that simple.
