Joy Ann Reid Quickly Corrects Killer Mike On His IG Comment
Folks were choosing sides on Sunday when a misunderstood Instagram post by MSNBC’s Joy Ann Reid hit Killer Mike’s timeline.
Joy Ann took to Instagram to salute her glam squad for a job well done on a photoshoot. Reid posted a picture with the caption,
“And not to be outdone… @glamluxxe and Cynthia, who rocked the H&M for our Elgin Baylor shoot!”
Killer Mike responded to Joy Ann and criticized her post commenting,
“I guess the H&M protest has ended huh Black people. LoL.”
The rapper was referring to a picture on the H&M website of a black boy wearing a green hoodie that said, “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle”
Reid quickly fired back at the outspoken rapper saying, that the “H&M” in her post referred to the “hair and makeup” she received for the shoot. She also took a stab at Killer Mike’s NRATV interview, saying that he was a “guy who hangs out in the sunken place talking guns with the NRA’s “official black guy”.
Soon after Killer Mike deleted the comment and issued an apology to Reid saying that he has misinterpreted the post and that he looks forward to a discussion with the journalist about black gun ownership.
Who’s side are you on? Did Joy Ann go too far with her clapback? Or did Killer Mike do too much by trolling Joy Ann Reid?
