Trey Songz sued by Detroit police officer and cameraman
Trey Songz needs to lawyer up. A Detroit police officer and a camera man are suing the singer.
The claims come from an incident from a 2016 concert. Songz got angry after he was told his show needed to wrap up. Trey got angry and threw something in the crowd. The police officer attempted to arrest him and Songz allegedly hit him.
Last August, Songz reached a plea deal on criminal charges from the incident. The officer assault charges were dropped in exchange for accepting two misdemeanors for disturbing the peace.
The officer, Sgt. Robert Avery, and a photographer, Andrew Potter, have filed a civil suit. Potter alleges that Songz threw a microphone stand into the crowd and it hit him. Both men are suing for assault and battery as well as emotional distress.
Do you think Songz will have to give up some cash in this case?
