Teyana Taylor Drops ‘Issues/Hold On’ Video And A$AP Rocky Makes A Cameo
Today (Mar. 15), R&B singer Teyana Taylor released her self-directed video for her single, “Issues/Hold On,” and A$AP Rocky makes a huge cameo, along with some other big-name artists.
The video is set in the ’70s and follows Taylor’s relationship with her husband, portrayed by A$AP Rocky. At the beginning of the video, the two are seen laying on top of a pile of vinyl records while rocking retro hairstyles and outfits.
It then moves on to a scene where the two prepare to cut their wedding cake. Issues are clearly inevitable with the couple because while Taylor waits on Rocky to cut their green wedding cake, he’s busy talking to a friend (A$AP Ferg). Taylor has to grab his hands and softly slap his face in order to get his attention. Ferg even informs Rocky that his new wife is waiting on him. They eventually cut the cake and Taylor happily smashes icing on Rocky’s face.
The video then shows how trouble in paradise starts. Lori Harvey (daughter of Steve Harvey) is pictured working on some sort of project with Rocky, and the two share a hug afterward right before Taylor comes through the door and notices Harvey and Rocky and looking weird. Taylor later addresses the situation during a car ride with Rocky.
Rocky and Taylor then attend a party where Tyler the Creator makes a cameo. Later during the party, Taylor notices Rocky and Harvey sitting cozily on a couch, and she then rushes down the stairs to address Rocky, who ends up carrying Taylor out of the party after kissing her. The two then return home and make love.
Today, Taylor shared a few clips of the video on her Instagram account, where she also thanked everyone who was involved with the production. ” Let’s gooooooooo! This video is very special to me and I would like to thank everyone apart of making this magical with me,” she wrote.
