Russell Westbrook Dedicates His Triple Double To Nipsey Hussle
Last night (Apr. 2), Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook dedicated his game to the late Nipsey Hussle.
“That wasn’t for me man, that was for my bro, man. That’s for Nipsey man. 20+ 20+20! They know what that means man. That’s for my bro. RIP Nipsey man,” Westbrook said during a post-game interview.
Last night, the Thunder played against the Los Angeles Lakers, and Westbrook achieved 20 points, 21 assists, and 20 rebounds. Westbrook has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder since 2008, but the NBA star is a Los Angeles native.
When news broke about Nipsey Hussle’s passing, Westbrook took to Instagram to share his thoughts. The basketball player shared a photograph of Nipsey and wrote, “YOU’RE ONE OF ONE BRO!!! Rest Up King.” He also shared a photo of himself hugging Hussle during a game.

Westbrook is the second person in NBA History to secure a 20-20-20 triple-double. The only other 20-20-20 triple-double was accomplished by Wilt Chamberlain in 1968.
