Fans Boo Foxy Brown Offstage As DJ Plays Longtime Rival, Lil’ Kim’s Track Instead
Over the weekend, rapper Foxy Brown wasn’t too welcomed in her own hometown of Brooklyn.
The veteran rapper, 40, was scheduled as a guest performer at Kandi Burruss’ “Welcome to the Dungeon Tour” stop in New York City on Saturday (May 18) at Terminal 5, but Brown was booed off the stage.
The “I’ll Be” rapper struggled with the lyrics to the 1996 track, originally featuring fellow Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z.

A few attendees of the show shared footage on social media, which showed Brown wearing a black patent leather trench coat, thigh-high boots, and a jeweled mask covering her face. She looked baffled while she was being pulled off stage by a man who looked as if he was performing the song with her.

While the audience continued to boo the rapper, Burruss walked on stage and tried to take up for Brown. “Y’all gotta respect my girl. Let her take the mask off,” the singer-songwriter and Real Housewives of Atlanta star told the crowd.
Afterward, the DJ told the fans, “We can’t let that sh*t happen on our stage. Let’s rock,” before playing “The Jump Off,” by Foxy Brown’s longtime rival, Lil Kim.
When Lil Kim’s music was played the crowd began cheering. Brown hasn’t been very active lately. She released her last album, Broken Silence in 2001. She also had a baby, a girl in March 2017, and over the years has struggled with her hearing.
Brown has yet to comment on the fiasco.
