Nicole Murphy Apologizes For Kiss With Married Director Antoine Fuqua
Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife, Nicole Murphy, has now clarified her explanation of the kiss that she shared with director Antoine Fuqua, who is married to actress Lela Rochon. They were recently photographed kissing while in Italy.
On Tuesday (July 23), Nicole gave an exclusive statement to blogger B. Scott, stating that she and Fuqua are “family friends” and that the two had simply exchanged a “friendly hello.”
On Wednesday (July 24), Nicole spoke with TMZ and had another version of the story. “Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired,” Nicole said.
Nicole continued, “It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in any way inappropriately with a married man. I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written.”
According to TMZ, Murphy also thought that Fuqua and Rochon’s relationship was over.
However, when The Shade Room shared the story on their Instagram page, actress LisaRaye McCoy commented alluding that Nicole Murphy had also had sex with her ex-husband.
“Gurl @nikimurphy you went after @iamlelarochon husband too?…smh So wrong…again!!!,” McCoy wrote.
McCoy’s sister, rapper Da Brat also confirmed what the actress alluded to on her show, when she was asked if the allegations were true. “Absolutely! When my sister was the first lady of Turks and Caicos, Absolutely,” Da Brat said.
