Colin Kaepernick Says He’s ‘Still Ready’ For The NFL
Colin Kaepernick is currently preparing for his return to the NFL for his third season.
On Wednesday, the football player took to Twitter and wrote, “5am. 5 days a week. For 3 years. Still Ready.”
Kaepernick’s tweet was most likely in reference to his workout schedule, although he hasn’t played in the NFL since week 17 of the 2016 season with the San Francisco 49ers, as USA Today reports.

The tweet came alongside a coinciding video that the football player voices over the same quote while photos of him working out play.
The video shows a muscular Kaepernick, who seems to be in a similar weight class to when he last played, weighing 230 pounds.
The video also noted that Kaepernick had been “denied work” for 889 days. The tweet serves as the first public comment that he made regarding his future since he settled a collusion grievance against the NFL and its ownership back in February.
Colin Kaepernick claimed in the grievance that his candid views and protests to combat police brutality and social inequality led to his being denied employment by 32 teams in the football league.
Current Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid also settle his grievances alongside Kaepernick for an undisclosed amount.
