Teairra Mari Pleads Guilty In DWI Case
Singer and reality TV star Teairra Mari recently pleaded guilty in her DWI case in New York. On Monday (Sept. 9), the “Sponsor” singer entered a guilty plea to one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, as TMZ reports.
Teairra Mari has been able to avoid jail time and has been ordered to complete several DWI-related courses, including a victim impact panel and an impaired driver program, according to the Queens District Attorney’s Office. Mari must also install an ignition interlock device in her vehicle for a year.
The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star’s license was also suspended for six months, and if Mari fails to comply with the terms of her sentencing, she could face up to a year in jail. Back in June, NYPD pulled over the singer after law enforcement noticed her Dodge Charger was missing a front wheel when the singer came out of the Midtown Tunnell. According to police, Teairra Mari smelled like alcohol, and her bumper was dragging on the road. This incident is also not Mari’s first. She was convicted of a DUI in Los Angeles, back in 2011.
