Treach Reveals Why He & Pepa Got Divorced
During a recent interview, Treach of Naughty By Nature revealed why he and Pepa of Salt-n-Pepa got a divorce back in 2001.
âWe have a love-hate relationship, as always,â Treach said while confirming that Pepa attended his recent wedding in 2019.
âWe good. Itâs just certain things that come up from her book. And now itâs going to be a Salt-n-Pepa movie.â
âThey come to me and Iâm looking at the character that they got for me, and they want a release. And it will never happen,â Treach continued.

ââWhatâs Love Got To Do With Itâ was a great movie but it wasnât our story,â Treach said before referencing the âreal storyâ and asking the interviewers, âWhatâs the number one cause of divorce?â
âCheating!â one of the interviewers responded before Treach made a sound with his mouth that alerted her that she got the right answer.
âFor the record, I never had to cheat on her,â Treach explained. Treach then said that he and Pepa had multiple women on the side. However, he said that things went downhill in their relationship when Pepa wanted to have a relationship with one of their women by herself.
âSo you got jealous?â an interviewer asked Treach. âNah, I just got cheated on,â Treach said.
The interviewers were a bit confused and said that they thought it was okay because they were in a relationship together. However, Treach clarified and said that âIf it was a part of the planâŚthatâs one thing. Not when itâs not a part of the plan. Now, itâs like, âOh. You asked for a separation to do this. Now, Iâm going to ask for a divorce.'â
