Jhene Aiko Opens Up About New Forthcoming Album ‘Chilombo’
Jhene Aiko’s new forthcoming album, Chilombo is on the way. On Monday (Feb. 17), the “Triggered” singer took to Twitter to share details about it.
The album, which is Aiko’s third studio project, will be comprised of all freestyles. The singer describes it as a mixture of her last four projects.
“if sailing soul(s), sail out, souled out and trip had a baby #CHILOMBO,” Aiko tweeted.

Before revealing what the album sounds like, Aiko also informed her fans that she was finished with transcribing all of the lyrics for the “free flows.”
“just typed out all the lyrics to the free flows that are #CHILOMBO #phew realest [expletive] i ever wrote….” tweeted Jhené.

The release date for Chilombo is currently unknown. Last month, Aiko dropped her single “[expletive] Fairy (OTW),” which was the follow-up to her song “None of Your Concern,” featuring her boyfriend rapper Big Sean.
While she has yet to announce an album release date, she did previously tease a February release in the pop-up video for her single “P*$$Y Fairy (OTW).” It’s unclear if that’s still the case.
Chilbombo is the singer’s given last name, and the album will serve as the follow up to 2017’s Trip, which landed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
