Accused Louisville Drug Dealers Arrested After Posting TikTok Videos
Tara and James Lyles found themselves in some trouble after reportedly sharing videos on TikTok showing their alleged drug operation. Now, the pair (it’s unknown if they are husband and wife or brother and sister or just coincidentally have the same last name) has been arrested on drug trafficking charges.
According to WAVE 3, Kentucky State Police have been keeping their eyes on the pair since receiving a tip about them operating a large-scale drug operation involving marijuana and THC products. Additionally, the two were allegedly sharing videos of their drug-making process on TikTok, per WAVE 3.
After executing an undercover buy, law enforcement had a good understanding of the large scale of the operation and conducted a search warrant. According to WAVE 3, they found a large marijuana edible production area along with four safes of marijuana products. In the end, police recovered roughly 218 pounds of marijuana, which would be worth about $440,485 on the street, per WAVE 3. Tara and James Lyles have both been charged with trafficking marijuana. Additionally, Tara was charged with possessing drugs/drug paraphernalia.
