Brandy Shares Cover For Forthcoming Album ‘B7’; Fans Say She’s Paying Homage To Whitney Houston
There’s exciting news for fans of Brandy. On Thursday (May 7), B-Rocka took to social media to share the cover of her new forthcoming album B7.
The “I Wanna Be Down” singer shared the cover on Instagram. On the cover, Brandy is rocking her signature braids adorned with gold beads that accentuate her gold eye shadow.
The number “7” in gold sits in the center of the headshot photo and runs across Brandy’s face. B7 would be the follow-up to 2012’s Two-Eleven.

It also seems as if Brandy is paying homage to her first three albums, Brandy (1994), Never Say Never (1998), and Full Moon (2002). On the cover of B7, Brandy’s name is written in the same exact font as it was on the singer and actress’ first three albums.
Fans of Brandy have also taken to social media and mentioned that she’s also paying homage to her idol, mentor, and former close friend, the late Whitney Houston.
Several of Houston’s fan clubs have posted side by side photos of Brandy and Houston (a photo from a scene from The Bodyguard), noting the comparison.
However, it also could be said that Brandy was paying homage to singer-songwriter and ex-wife of Stevie Wonder, Syreeta Wright, who often wore her hair in braids and beads.
As we’ve previously reported, both Brandy and Monica, who have been pitted against each other since their reign during the ’90s have spoken out regarding whether or not they would battle each other in Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s popular Instagram Live battle series”Verzuz.”
“I really can’t see myself doing that,” Brandy replied. “I’m open to it but I haven’t really thought about it. You’re like the second person to say that to me.”
