Tampax’s ‘Not All People With Periods Are Women’ Slogan Is Getting A Lot Of Attention
Last month, Tampax tweeted out, “Fact: Not all women have periods. Also a fact: Not all people with periods are women. Let’s celebrate the diversity of all people who bleed!” They used the hashtags, “#mythbusting, #periodtruths, and #transisbeautiful.”

Although the tweet is older, it is getting some attention online and has recently gone viral. There is a drastic mix of comments, too. Some people feel as if the brand is “anti-women” and “misogynistic.” Others are praising the company for being inclusive of the trans community.
See some of the responses below.
Thank you, people behind Tampax, for your inclusive language 💜 There's a lot of hate in the comments, but know there are people who see and appriciate it.

It's such a small gesture, and hurts literally no one.
I'm a trans man who experienced periods for 13 years; thank you!! I may not need your products anymore, but this makes me feel good for everyone who still does.

If your internal organs from birth, resemble the diagram on the left, you don't need tampons, if it resembles the diagram on the right, you do.... hope that helps. pic.twitter.com/Of7xZAF0pj

Sigh...so tired of companies disrespecting their main target audience & gaslighting the public for virtue signaling points.

Oh dear @Tampax your products are more expensive but I have been buying them for decades. Not any more. Anyone who calls me and my daughter “people who bleed” isn’t getting a penny more of my money.

Great marketing ploy there - alienate almost all your key demographic to appease a very tiny number who would buy it anyway.
