MIAMI GARDENS, FLORIDA - JULY 24: Kodak Black performs on stage during Rolling Loud at Hard Rock Stadium on July 24, 2021 in Miami Gardens, Florida.

Kodak Black, born Bill Kahan Kapri, gained mainstream success after his 2014 single “No Flockin” dropped. Three years after the release of “No Flockin” he came back into the spotlight with his debut album Painting Pictures which peaked at No. 3 US Billboard 200. Painting Pictures contained “Tunnel Vision,” another hit from the South Florida rapper. Despite being talented musically, the rapper is frequently in the spotlight due to his various legal issues and controversial takes on social media. In 2019, Black was arrested for weapons possession and was sentenced to almost four years in federal prison. He received an early release with the help of President Trump in 2021. While he was incarcerated he released his third studio album Bill Israel in 2020. Since his entry into mainstream rap, Kodak has collaborated with Future, Meek Mill, DaBaby, and more.
