KFC vs. Popeyes (The Relaunch or The New Item)
It was the battle of the chicken sandwich and now it’s the battle between the new menu items. At least for me, it is.
KFC is bringing back a fan favorite with the $5 Mac & Cheese Bowls.
Starting today, (July 11) fans who have the KFC mobile app can receive an exclusive digital offer.
They also have the Spicy KFC Mac & Cheese Bowl featuring KFC’s spicy, smoky Nashville Hot Sauce.
I don’t know if I’ve ever had the Mac and Cheese Bowl but I’ve definitely had the “Famous Bowl”. I’m a fan of the mac at KFC so I’ll definitely be trying this, but here’s the interesting part.
Ironically enough, Popeyes has decided to launch a new menu item on the same day.
Popeyes has been seen in select locations selling a new Strawberry Biscuit. WORD?!
The Strawberry Biscuit is a sweet and salty biscuit filled with strawberries and drizzled with icing. The new Strawberry Biscuit has been spotted at select locations in the St. Louis, MO area. Now, while that’s not in the Detroit area, they often times test items in certain markets before rolling it out nationwide, so we know it’s coming soon!
Strawberries are seasonal, especially during Summer so who knows if we’ll see this biscuit on the menu permanently.
