It’s been difficult to find a COVID-19 test lately, but due to the current surge, counties are opening up additional testing, so you have lots of options. If you don’t want to wait in line for hours, read on for some new testing sites that are just now opening and ready to serve you.

Oakland County is opening three COVID-19 testing facilities for residents beginning next week. The county reported more than 21,000 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 from Dec. 20, 2021, to Jan. 2, 2022, according to a press release.

Numbers are rising in Wayne and Macomb counties, too. The rise in cases is largely due to the omicron variant, which has quickly become the dominant variant in the U.S. over delta. A total of 1,082,549 new coronavirus cases were reported Monday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
